As a seasoned Nordstrom employee, I've had the privilege of participating in 19 Anniversary Sales. However, this time around, I'll step into the store as a customer, and I'm here to share some insider tips and tricks to help you navigate this monumental sale like a pro.

It's time to create a comprehensive list of the items you need during the sale. With the abundance of tempting new merchandise and exciting previews of fall product, it's easy to get distracted. But fear not, with a well-prepared list, you can stay focused. Make sure to include essential replenishment items such as:

Take the leap and make the purchase, knowing that if it doesn't meet your expectations, you can always return it. Believe me, I'm still dreaming about a houndstooth Tracy Reese peacoat from 15 years ago.

Trust me, I've experienced this firsthand more times than I care to remember. But let's be real, it's just clothes! Don't let its unavailability ruin your life. This way, you can curate your desired items ahead of time. If you happen to have a Nordstrom Card, you'll have the added benefit of being able to purchase directly from your wishlist on your designated shopping day.

In the event that an item you have your eye on is sold out, don't lose hope just yet. Keep it in your cart and make it a habit to check back frequently. You never know when a restock might occur, and by being diligent, you increase your chances of snagging that coveted item. Persistence often pays off.
